Dong Tam Golf Resort is made up of 36 golf holes of international standard, surrounded by the beauty of Dong Tam lake and it’s incredibly scenic mountains. The first 18 holes was designed to follow the lake edge; taking advantage of some very special inlets and peninsular features. The third 9 holes is settled among spectacular scenery; a combination of towering cliffs and virgin forest.

The overall result leaves you with the impression of marvelous natural landscapes and picturesque beauty.  Dong Tam will surprise and satisfy serious golfers and nature lovers alike.  The final 9 holes resting in the picturesque valley will be open to the public and members alike.

Most of the golf projects outside Hanoi call themselves “resorts”, however, to date, none of them offer anything similar to the true meaning of a resort.  A resort should contain a number of activities besides golf as well as the opportunity for people to rent a room or villa for overnight or extended stay.

Unlike any other golf “resort” in Vietnam , prior to the opening of the first course, Dong Tam is already providing our members with a destination where their families and friends are able to rent rooms or entire villa’s and engage in any number of activities

Location

Dong Tam Golf Resort & Adventure Land located in the hidden valley (the virgin forest valley) of Dong Tam Commune, Lac Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province . 

Direction 1(Phap Van – Phu Ly – Chi Ne) – south of Hanoi (70 km): It takes about one hour to reach the Golf Resort from

Take exit Phap Van – Cau Gie (National Highway No. 1)

Head toward Phu Ly Town (Ha Nam Province) then at the Phu Ly Town roundabout turn right you will meet a huge bridge, follow the main road for 17 km then you will enter the hidden valley of Dong Tam where you will be met by cool clean air and a forest atmosphere, pass through the valley for 3 km and the Golf Resort is on your Left

Direction 2 (Ha Dong – Xuan Mai – Chi Ne) – West of Hanoi (60 km):

Take exit Ha Dong Town, go straight then you will meet Xuan Mai Town, then turn left, toward Ho Chi Minh Road, then following direction to Chi Le (turn left and pass 3 km from Chi Ne, the Golf Resort appear on your right.

After passing the bridge in Phu Ly Town, the drive and the scenery are very pleasant; one gets the feeling that this road leads only to Dong Tam. There are a number of golf courses this distance from Hanoi (70 Km); however, we believe that none of them are as easy and to reach or as relaxing as the drive to Dong tam.

Golf  Resort facilities

36 holes of International Standard Golf; combining a beautiful lake course with a nature lovers course running through virgin forest and spectacular mountains.  Golfers will be offered a number of golf card choices; the “ Lake Course ”, the “Mountain Course” or various combinations of both. 

A Five Star Clubhouse designed to present several high standard services; with luxury hotel suite, spacious lobby, high standard lockers and rest rooms, pro-shop in the first floor and an International Standard Restaurant on the second floor and a VIP Bar & restaurant on the third floor. The Clubhouse provides our members with a 360 degree view of the Golf Holes, Resort Hotel & Rental Villas as well as the natural beauty of the surrounding lake and high rock mountains.

In addition to the Clubhouse hotel rooms, a Luxury Resort Hotel with rental villa’s, swimming pool, elegant restaurant and many other facilities will be located within easy walking distance of the main Clubhouse and golf facilities. 

A traditional style halfway house (The Way-Station) located in the middle of the 18 hole “ Lake Course ” will be hiding in the forest after finishing nine holes. The Way-Station will be fully equipped with a traditional restaurant serving special wild animals dishes (along with western cuisine), as well as change rooms, lockers and other facilities.  Golfers will have a choice to complete the Lake Course from here or combine their game with 9 holes on the Mountain Course and return to the Main Clubhouse by ferry (or play out 27 holes if they so choose).

There will be a range of “Nha San” (House on Stilts) placed along the Mountain Course in the forest and on the edge of the Lake Course, all with spectacular views of the golf holes and surrounding natural landscape.  Members can spend the weekend or bring their families, colleagues or friends for a relaxing and enjoyable extended holiday.
An open view Driving Range right in front of the main Clubhouse, along with Putting and Chipping Greens will provide members with convenient practice facilities in a relaxing environment.

The first of the Luxury Estate Villas have been ready for occupation since October 30, 2007; these are nestled in the forest looking over the lake and the first 9 holes of the Lake Course .

The construction of Villas, available for purchase and rent, will keep pace with the parallel construction of Golf Resort.

Adventure Land will provide members and their families with various activities and facilities, including a combined Traditional & Western Restaurant, 2 Tennis Courts, Volleyball & Badminton courts, Fishing, Swimming Pool, Massage Service, Karaoke, Canoeing / Kayaks, Wine & Dine Cruises on the Lake, Go-Karting, Rock Climbing, Cave Walks, Hot Air Ballooning, Bungie-Jumping and much, much more….

Golf Course Layout

Description of the Golf Courses:

The Lake Course

The “ Lake Course ”is exactly that; most of the 18 holes follow the winding scenic Dong Tam Lake ; providing quite a few challenging shots over water.  It is 7,250 yards long, with quite a few reachable Par 4’s and Par 5’s; if you feel up to the challenge.  Most of the magnificent forest trees have been retained or transplanted; which provides a completed landscape of existing shade trees and natural beauty.

 From here, members will have the choice of continuing along the Lake Course to complete their 18 holes and return to the Main Clubhouse; or playing the 9 hole Mountain Course and return by ferry.

The Mountain Course

These 9 holes are nestled right at the foothills of the sheer cliffs surrounding Dong Tam Lake .  You may experience a feeling of isolation when you play this course, as it is quite removed from the rest of the resort.

Generally golfers will start and finish at “The Way-Station” by way of ferry from the Main Clubhouse.  The Way-Station will be a fully equipped clubhouse in it’s own right; with lockers, change rooms, restaurant as well as buggy and caddy facilities; however, it will retain it’s “Traditional” charm

The full 18 holes of the Lake Course can also be played from The Way-Station, so once you get here by ferry, you can spend all day or all weekend.  There will also be the option of playing a combination of the Mountain & the Lake courses and finishing back at the Main Clubhouse

The Valley Course

 The final 9 holes following the picturesque Dong Tam valley and will be open to the public for general play.  Of course, members will have the option to combine play on the Valley course with either the Lake or Mountain courses
