Day 1: Buon Ma Thuot |
|
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up for the morning flight to Buon Ma Thuot via Da Nang. On arrival, your car will be waiting to take you to your hotel. After checking in, you’ll visit Gia Long waterfall with time to stroll through the ancient forest and swim in the ‘fairy pond’, a charming natural swimming pool. From there, you’ll visit Dray Nur waterfall. Your overnight stay will be in Buon Ma Thuot. |

Day 2: Buon Ma Thuot |
|
After a visit to A Co Thon village, home of many Ede ethnic people, and the city’s Ethnology museum, you’ll drive to Lak Lake, cross the lake in a dug-out canoe, then ride through the M’lieng ethnic village on a Vietnamese elephant. Your overnight stay will be in Buon Ma Thuot |

Day 3: Buon Ma Thuot to Gia Lai |
|
In the morning, you’ll drive 200 km to Gia Lai, check in at your hotel and relax over lunch. In the afternoon, you visit the Banah villages to meet the people and learn about their everyday life and culture. Your overnight stay will be in Gia Lai. |

Day 4: Gia Lai to Kon Tum |
|
In the morning, you travel by car to Kon Tum, visiting Phun village (Ja Rai ethnic people) and the ‘Sea Lake’ (a mysterious lake in the crater of a dormant volcano - apparently its water level hardly varies even duting the most severe droughts). In the afternoon, you visit some of the many villages around Kon Tum, including Kon Tonghia village, Kon Robang and Kon Hngor village. Your overnight stay will be in Kon Tum. |

Day 5: Kon Tum to Gia Lai |
|
After breakfast, you’ll hike to the source of the DakBla river, crossing the KonBa hanging bridge on the way. You’ll then ‘raft’ down the DakBla River in an inflatable boat, pausing for a riverside picnic lunch. A further two hours on the river takes you back to Konkotu village. In the late afternoon, you’ll travel back to Gia Lai by road. Your overnight stay will be in Gia Lai |

Day 6: Gia Lai to Da Nang to Ha Noi |
|
In the morning, your driver will pick you up for your flight to Hanoi. After checking in at your hotel and lunch, you’ll be driven to the Ethnology Museum and the Old Quarter, including Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. After dinner, you’ll board the overnight sleeper train to Sapa. |

Day 7: Sapa ethnic market |
|
You’ll be met at Lao Cai station and be taken by jeep to a remote ethnic market. After a picnic lunch, you’ll return to Lao Cai and continue your journey into the mountains to Sapa, a small town perched on the mountainside opposite Mt. Fan Si Pan, Vietnam’s highest peak. You’ll arrive in Sapa in the late afternoon, with time to relax before dinner. Your overnight stay will be in Sapa. |

Day 8: Sapa |
|
After breakfast, you’ll walk to a H’mong ethnic village in a scenic valley and enjoy a streamside picnic lunch. You’ll then travel by jeep to Ta Phin, an ethnic village known for its traditional customs and woven garments with intricate patterns. You’ll return to Sapa in the late afternoon. Your overnight stay will be in Sapa. |

Day 9: Sapa |
|
A morning hike takes you to Ta Van village, home of the Day ethnic minority people, and thence to Giang Ta Chai village (Red Dao ethnic group). After lunch, a jeep will take you to Ban Ho Valley (Tay ethnic group) for dinner. Your overnight stay will be in a local Tay ‘stilt’ house. |

Day 10: Sapa to Ha Noi |
|
After hiking to Thanh Phu village and eating a picnic lunch beside a stream, you’ll be picked up to return to Sa Pa. In the evening, you’ll be taken to Lao Cai station for the overnight train to Ha Noi. |

Day 11: Ha Noi departure |
|
You’ll arrive in Hanoi in the early morning and check in at your hotel for refreshment and relaxation until your car arrives to to take you to the airport for your transfer or departure flight. |
